Retailer Saks Incorporated announced that Linn Tanzman was appointed Vice President of Communications and Publicity at Saks Fifth Avenue.
In her new position, Ms. Tanzman will be responsible for media, designer/partner and external corporate communications, and will oversee event press relations for the national chain of stores. Ms. Tanzman will report directly to Mr. Terron Schaefer, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ms. Tanzman brings over twenty years of experience as an executive and consultant in the public relations industry, with a deep expertise in brand communications and luxury goods. Most recently, Ms. Tanzman served as Director of Public Relations, Business at Vogue Magazine. The record breaking September issue, the launch of ShopSteptemberVogue.com and the syndicated television program “Trend Watch” were among the project she worked on at Vogue. Prior to Vogue, Ms. Tanzman held a vice president post at LVMH Perfumes and Cosmetics, where she handled brand communications for Givenchy and Guerlain, and was instrumental in launching fragrance businesses for Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. Before joining LVMH, Ms. Tanzman was a Vice President at Wenner Media for eight years. She began her career at Warner Bros. Records, and later represented the Rolling Stones among her entertainment clients.

Ms. Tanzman serves on the Board of the Audrey Hepburn Children's Foundation, the March of Dimes Beauty Ball Committee and is a member of Women In Communications and Cosmetic Executive Women. She is a native of Long Branch, New Jersey and currently resides in New York City, with her husband.
