Polo Ralph Lauren Announces David Lauren to Expand Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications Responsibilities

Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation today announced that David Lauren will assume direct management for the marketing, advertising and corporate communications divisions effective immediately. In addition, he will continue to direct the Company's e-commerce marketing efforts. Mr. Lauren assumes his advertising and marketing responsibilities from Jeff Morgan, who was promoted to Division President, Product Licensing. (See today's separate announcement.)


 


Mr. Lauren, Polo Ralph Lauren's Senior Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications since October 2001, will report to Ralph Lauren, chairman and chief executive officer and Roger Farah, president and chief operating officer.


 


Previously, Mr. Lauren was Chief Creative and Marketing Officer for Ralph Lauren Media LLC, with responsibility to conceptualize and create the Polo.com website, and to oversee the development of the site's marketing as well as editorial content, services and products.


 


Prior to joining Ralph Lauren Media, Mr. Lauren was Editor-in-Chief and President of Swing, a general interest publication for Generation X, focusing on the issues and personalities affecting men and women aged 18 to 34.
