Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) today announced Bridget Ryan Berman has been promoted to Group President of Polo Ralph Lauren Retail, a newly created position. The promotion is effective immediately.
Ms. Ryan Berman, currently President and Chief Operating Officer of Polo Retail Group will expand her responsibilities to include the oversight of the company's international retail operations in addition to her current responsibilities for the domestic Polo Ralph Lauren stores and the outlet division. She will continue to direct the daily operations of Polo Retail Group's shared-services departments and will continue to report to Roger Farah, President and Chief Operating Officer, Polo Ralph Lauren.
''Over the last 11 years, Bridget has contributed greatly to the success of Polo Ralph Lauren's retail division. Her leadership and creativity will enable us to strengthen our global retail organization and drive key initiatives in each of our retail avenues,'' said Roger Farah, President and Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Ryan Berman joined Polo in 1992 as a Divisional Merchandise Manager in Polo Retail Corporation (PRC), and was promoted to Vice President of Merchandising in 1995. In 1998 she was named President of Polo Ralph Lauren's Factory Store Concepts (FSC), a division of PRC.
