Badgley Mischka Announces Long Term License to Create Global Fragrance Business; Company to Launch Signature Fragrance for Spring 2006
Candie's, Inc., “the Company” announced today it has entered into a long-term worldwide license agreement with Toronto-based, Riviera Concepts, Inc. (“Riviera”) for its BADGLEY MISCHKA(R) brand for the development of a signature fragrance. The new scent will launch in 2006, followed by several additional launches that will potentially include a men's fragrance, a bridal fragrance and a host of ancillary products including creams, lotions, soaps, bath products and scented candles. The signature fragrance will be targeted exclusively for select luxury department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The alliance with Riviera continues the Company's global expansion strategy for the Badgley Mischka brand and follows previously announced agreements with Groupe JS International for Badgley Mischka Couture, Pronovias USA for Badgley Mischka Bridal, NewMont Group for Badgley Mischka Fur, Franchi Accessories for Badgley Mischka Handbags and Sama Eyewear for Badgley Mischka Eyewear.
