In April 2005 the first Diesel Store in Munich opened its gates! Located on Münchener Residenzstraße 3 – in the “first class” area between Opern and Marienplatz – the store presents its products on a 470 sqm area.
Great attention has been put in the choice of this location, a beautiful palace close to the famous Dallmayr building, with an impressing facade (which is under preservation order). The interior was totally transfigured and now shines in the typical Diesel look. The combination of vintage-furniture and modern interior design arranges for a charming and unique atmosphere.
The ground floor comprises 130 sqm of sales area for male denim, fashion and accessories. A specially manufactured staircase makes its way to the second story. 21 lamps light the way and there is a dedicated area for accessories. The 340 sqm female fashion, spare parts, shoes as well as the extraordinary lounge area are located on the second level.
Furthermore, the Munich store offers something unique, “for fashion victims only”: the Diesel Denim Gallery collection. This exclusive product is also only available at the Diesel Concept Store in Berlin Mitte.
In May, 12th Diesel will celebrate the store opening with a party titled “Aloisius Höllenfahrt – a tribute by Diesel to Bavarian style” at the Hofbräuhaus, a place known as the “most famous tavern of the world”. And to welcome an A-list of national and international guests there will be Renzo Rosso, Diesel's owner and founder.
Diesel has stores all over Germany: in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin Kudamm, Berlin Mitte, Frankfurt, Nürnberg and, since this March, a brand new store in Stuttgart.
