Perry Ellis International Inc. (Nasdaq:PERY – News) announced today that Mitch Porigow has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Perry Ellis America brand. Porigow will report to Doug Jakubowski, president of Perry Ellis brands.
Jakubowski is excited to add Porigow's talents to the Perry Ellis team. “Mitch brings a strong and diverse background both running successful businesses and launching new businesses,” he said. “Mitch understands the Perry Ellis brand. He shares our vision of bringing fresh trend right product to our consumer. Perry Ellis America's casual lifestyle product and active wear enables us to dress our consumer for every occasion.”
Porigow comes to Perry Ellis from Block Corp., where he served as an executive vice president. He was responsible for the sales and marketing for the Perry Ellis America license.
