The Armani Group is pleased to announce the opening today of the new Emporio Armani store in Dubai. Located in the prestigious Emirates Tower the new retail space covers over 460 square metres which form a semi-circle that faces onto the central courtyard and features an entirely new design concept – the first of its kind to be unveiled in the world.
Giorgio Armani designed the new store in collaboration with an in-house team of architects. The inside walls are curved and made of a special metallic fabric. These combined with the shiny black resin floor allow for the merchandise to be reflected onto both the walls and the floor. Large panels that reach up to the ceiling made out of carbon fibres follow the line of the curved walls and are used to create changing rooms. All of the fixtures are in steel and special showcases have been created in plexiglass for the accessories. The overall effect blends craftsmanship with modernity in an unexpected way and presents a contemporary and yet sophisticated backdrop for Armani's fashion.
