In reaction to recent market rumours and press speculation, Gucci Group N.V. confirms that discussion are currently taking place with Pinault-Printemps-Redoute and LVMH-Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton to solve the conflict in which they have been involved since March 19, 1999.
No agreement has been reached among the parties at this stage. As always, Gucci remains committed to assuring value for all shareholders. Consistent with Gucci's policy not to comment on any negotiations, no information will be released unless and until a final agreement is reached.
