Following the positive trend of the Itr collection on the market with a +21% in value with the last selling campaign, Versace will open its first Versus boutique in Sofia Wednesday this week. The boutiques will be on 200 mq with 4 windows on Kaloydan Street in the most popular area of the city. Mr Santo Versace will host the event.
A new attention to this business was given from the re-asset of the distribution settlement in strategic markets like US where sale and distribution will be followed by IT USA starting from SS 2005.
New openings in the Far East (with AW04/05 collection): China (beside Shangai, Bejiing – main and bigger cities where versus was already- we are now in step two with the developing of a distributive network through versus boutique in: Shenzhen, Wenzhou, Guangzhou, Chongquing, Chengdu, Xi'an ed, and a deeper penetration plan in Northen China for next season);
Big attention is paid also to the collection, with the expansion of the accessories range, from the Luxottica eyewear and sunglasses to bags and shoes.
After an absence of a few year of the original Versus Lion the symbol is back in the collection as a motif which better than ever represent the Versus spirit.
The lion sun-glasses theme will also be to appear on Versus sun-glasses from next spring, it will be previewed to trade press at Silmo optical fair in Paris in October and will be unveiled officially at the Mido fair in Milan in May 2005.
