Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) today announced Jacki Nemerov will join the company as Executive Vice President effective September 9, 2004. Ms. Nemerov will be responsible for the management of all men's, women's and children's wholesale brands, licensed apparel and accessories, and manufacturing. She will report to Roger Farah, President and Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Nemerov's career highlights span 30 years in the apparel industry. Most recently, Ms. Nemerov was President and Chief Operating Officer of Jones Apparel Group where she was responsible for design, merchandising and production for the company's then 23 corporate brands. During her 17 year tenure at Jones Apparel Group, she held a variety of executive positions, including President of Jones Sport Division, and in 1995 launched the Lauren by Ralph Lauren division when it was a licensed brand. Earlier in her career, Ms. Nemerov enjoyed successful assignments with ever-increasing responsibilities at Allied Stores, Bernard Chaus and Gloria Vanderbilt for Murjani.
