Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce the opening of a new Armani Jeans store in the Commercial Center Peyre Centro in Calle Francos 42, Seville on 4th December 2001. This is the second Armani Jeans store in Spain, the first opened in Madrid earlier this year. Aside from the Jeans stores the Armani group's retail network in Spain currently comprises three Emporio Armani stores in Madrid, Barcelona and Marbella; two Giorgio Armani boutiques in Madrid and Barcelona, two Armani Collezioni stores in Madrid and Barcelona and one Armani Jr in Madrid.
Much more than a Jeans boutique, the new store embodies Giorgio Armani's vision of the modern casual lifestyle that Armani Jeans represents and which combines a high-distribution, fashion sensibility with a true ecologically-based product philosophy. Spread over 105 square metres and one floor, the store offers everything for men and women from basic pieces shirts, jeans, chinos etc – to more fashionable items jackets, dresses, skirts all of which are produced in fabrics or washed in processes that are aimed at safe-guarding the environment.
The store has been designed by Giorgio Armani together with Studio C+ architects and, while working to preserve the facade of one of the most prestigious palazzos in Seville's historical centre, the inside has been completely revolutionised, in keeping with the Armani Jeans store in Madrid, to resemble a fitness centre with floors and walls in rough-surface concrete, zinc plated tubes as clothes racks and fluorescent ceiling lights and tents as changing rooms.
Giorgio Armani says We are always looking to create an environment where the store architecture supports the presentation of the collections in a way that is modern and accessible for our customers. The new Seville store is an example of this philosophy.
