We are pleased to announce the following appointments within the Watch & Jewelry Group of Lvmh.
Thierry Fritsch, previously Chairman ofthe Board of Christofle, is appointed President and CEO of Chaumet, the prestigious Place Vendome jewelry acquired by Lvmh in October 1999.
Thierry Fritsch, aged 46 and a graduate of France's Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC), became chairman of the Board Of Christofle in January 2000, having been Managing Director since 1994.
Prior to managing Christofle, he was successively Marketing Director for France, Managing Director for Belgium and Managing Director for France at Cartier, having spent the first five years of his career at Procter & Gamble.
Philippe Pascal, President of Watch & Jewelry Group of Lvmh, said: “Thierry Fritsch joins us with solid experience in the luxury market and in managing networks of boutiques, witch will be key assets as he works on developing Chaumet and particularly the international expansion undertaken by Pierre Haquet, who will remain an adviser to this Business Group of Lvmh.”
Lionel Girard is appointed Vice President of Marketing at Chaummet. Lionel Giraud, aged 36 and a graduate of ESSEC, previously held a number of marketing positions at Cartier.
Eric Aliamus is appointed CEO “Amministratore delegato” of OMAS.
Previously at Dhl and Hermés, having acted as Sales and Marketing Director at Veuve Clicquot and then International Marketing Director ay Hennessy, Eric Aliamus, aged 48 and a graduate of France's Ecole Supérierure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), is now taking charge of Omas, acquired from the Simoni-Malaguti family by LVMH in 2000.
OMAS is the Italian leader in luxury writing instruments. Gianluca Malaguti, grandsom of company's founder, will continue to be in charge of creative management, with the help of his mother, Ms. Raffaella Simoni.
Christian Weissbach, formely CEO of the Watch & Jewelry retail subsidiary in South East Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Australia) is appointed CEO of the Business Group's North Asian subsidiary, covering Hong Kong, China Taiwan and Korea.
Ravi Thakran joins LVMH as CEO of the LVMH Watch & Jewelry subsidiary in South East Asia, based in Singapore. Ravi Thakran was formerly at Nike, having previously been responsible for a variety of bussiness and Indian Institute of Management.
This move will help strenghthen the LVMH Watch & Jewelry Group in Asia.
TAG Heuer announces the acquisition of the Metal Bracelet Division of Morellato Spa, thereby forming a new company, ArteLink srl.
This acquisition will accelerate the integration of the key production facilities of Tag Heuer and LVMH's other watch brands.
ArteLink srl will employ more than 190 staff in Italy, spread between sites in Padua, and Arta Terme, Friuli. The company will continue will continue to supply its existing customer base, consisting exclusively of Swiss luxury watch manufacturers.
Morellato's Metal Bracelet Division has been producing the highest quality and most complex bracelets for TAG Heuer for over 10 years.
