We are pleased to announce the appointment of François Steiner as CEO of Thomas Pink, effective in July 2001.
François Steiner, 38, held until now the position of President of LVMH Fashion Group for Europe.
A former student of Ecole Polytechnique, Mr. Steiner also graduated from France'sEcole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) and holds an advanced degree in International Finance from University of Dauphine in Paris. From 1987 to 1994, he worked as a consultant in strategy and organization with Arthur Andersen and the Boston COnsulting Group, prior to becoming Deputy Managing Director of Saresco, a group specializing in selective distribution in international airports. Mr. Steiner joined Louis Vuitton as Regional Director, Europe in September 1997.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Bernardo Sanchez Incera, who will succeed François Steiner as President of the LVMH Fashion Group for Europe, effective in July 2001.
Prior to joining LVMH, Bernardo Sanchez Incera, 41, was Vice President, International of the Spanish ready-to-wear group Zara.
Mr. Sanchez Incera graduated from INSEAD and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, and hoilds a BA in Economy. From 1984 to 1996, he held various positions with the Credit Lyonnais bank, where he notably headed a major French division specialising in Corporate Business and managed two subsidiaries based in Belgium and Spain respectively. He later became General Manager of Zara's French subsidiary, prior to being appointed Vice President, International of this Group in September 1999.
